In research, bioluminescence is a highly sensitive system for monitoring various biological processes and regulation events. Luciferases are used as reportergenes in various in vitro and in vivo assays to study drug delivery, cell viability, cell signalling, promoter regulation and tumour growth. This technique is based on light emission by the reaction of a specific substrate with an enzyme called luciferase and were measured by a photo detector. The high sensitivity of bioluminescent enzyme reaction (1000 times higher then fluorescence) makes it an advantageous method.
PJK's Luminescence luciferase assays were developed for the single measurement of different luciferases. For the measurement of several luciferases in one sample, parallel measurements of the different luciferases have to be processed. Through that PJK can offer Duo- or Triple-Well Systems for measuring several luciferases in one sample.
